The diagrams will show you everything that goes into your car or truck, therefore it can be quite useful when trying to figure out why it is behaving this way. Below are a couple of tips about how to read an automotive wiring diagram. The cables and their colors will tell you what is going on with every single wire connections. Black or dark colours usually means a dead or short brief, whereas white or pale colors mean one of 2 things: either the cord is connected to a breaker or it is broken. It is easy to see where a single wire will connect into another, but with the breaking of a cable, you need to look at the connections to find out if they're broken or just loose. When seeing a diagram that has pictures of the cables, look for arrows in the picture. These can let you know which cable is used for that connection. Arrows will be going all of the way around the diagram to help you determine what cable needs to be connected or disconnected. If the wire isn't marked on the circuit breaker, then use the tip of a screwdriver to gently shove the wire against the mark on the breaker. Once you see the connection holding the wire to the breaker, the circuit breaker will need to be reset or replaced.
